The River Of Refuge Dream Center Kansas City Has committed to help the hidden homeless; families living for months on end, even years, at pay by the week motels in Kansas City. There are dozens of these expensive one room motels in the metro area with families in crisis. These families often pay $800 to $1200 per month for a one room living space.
Their Children ride the bus to school and have to navigate after-school lives in a motel-room world. These families are the working poor. They can't afford to save enough for utility deposits, down payments for rent, but earn just enough to disqualify them from food stamps or other state and federal aid. The River Of Refuge Dream Center Kansas City has purchased the former Park Lane Hospital, a 150,000 sq. ft. facility. The former hospital is now being converted from a community eyesore to an asset that will be a place of dignity for needy working families. The River Of Refuge Dream Center Kansas City will provide lodging and services for the working poor, providing them a direct alternative to the "pay by the week" living arrangements and give them the opportunity to receive resources to help them to be successful when they are able to achieve permanent housing. To help cover expenses for The River Of Refuge Dream Center Kansas City, Broken Box Entertainment has produced a worship CD featuring various artists from the congregation of the River Christian Fellowship. Broken Box along with each vocalist and musician have donated their time and efforts so that 100% of the proceeds from the CD sales will go directly to The River Of Refuge Dream Center Kansas City. The CD will be sold for $12.00 each, please reserve your copy today! |
